Our Story

We met when I was fifteen, my junior year in high school.

I was his supervisor at a city basketball tournament. Him & my little brother were keeping score for the games. We had about four games together that day & I noticed he wasn't on my schedule for the next week. The games were over & we left. I didn't know if I would ever see that tall handsome boy again. The next day I had games again & while I was sitting there I noticed i had his number on my sub sheet for games. Before I knew it a text was typed up & sent. I was freaking out. He probably thought I was a stalker not knowing where I had gotten his number. That one text literally changed my life.

Even if I didn't know it at the time.

Neither of us knew what that one little text would lead to. Over the next few weeks we had a few games together then he started baseball & he was done. But this is how sweet he is. One Saturday I had about six hours of tournament games & he came on that Saturday just so he could work with me. Then it was my birthday & i was working so after basketball practice he brought me a dr. pepper & sat with me through all my games i was supervising. I went home that night & told my mom that i had found the boy i want to take me to prom.  That was literally how it started. He was the first boy to actually take me out on a date. He opened every door for me & falling in love with him was as natural as breathing. It just happened & it was beautiful.

We dated for two years before I was forced with the hardest goodbye I could have ever imagined. Chance was called to serve a mission in Lansing Michigan. I was having to say goodbye to the most influential person in my life, my best friend, my entire life for two years. While that was the hardest thing I have ever went through I can tell you that we were both so enormously blessed from it. Instead of never leaving my house like I planned I knew I needed to live my life & I did. As each day passed I missed him more & more but his letters were what I lived for. The smell of his cologne sprayed on his letters made the world stop for just one moment as I felt his warm hug that I missed so much. It wasn't easy but it was WORTH IT!!

He returned home to me on February 2, 2012. It was the best, scariest day of my life. After that day my life literally became a fairytale. It felt like he had never been gone at all. We just jumped back into being together. May 11th 2012 Chance got down on one knee & asked me to marry him. That led to us getting sealed for all time & eternity on a beautiful day, August 4th 2012, in the Manti Temple. That was such an amazing day that I will never forget:] The feeling of finally being together for the rest of eternity.....there is truly nothing like it.

We have been through so much already together. It makes me feel so secure in our relationship that we can handle anything life throws at us. We survived high school, & being apart for two years. I married my high school sweetheart:] From day one I always knew there was something different about him.

I sometimes have to pinch 

myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. 

 I love my life.
